Dear, dear Wikitree Admins: I shall attempt to express my feelings of gratitude in words, knowing they will be incomplete. I'm a very new user of your plethora of information and have been granted what I have been searching for, for months, unsuccessfully. My mother's line of FARRAR. In one day I was able to find my great grandparents on Wikitree and proceed up the line to England by being rerouted to Ancestry.com . Previously, on Ancestry, prior to obtaining the many Farrar names from Wikitree, I hadn't even found my own grandfather Farrar, who I grew up knowing. Now I know his parents and their parents and so on. And all of their locale beginnings.

My thanks are infinite. How do you thank so many people who have dedicated their lives to bringing our families to life for us all? An impossible feat without everyone from Wikitree caring very much for ancestry and our hearts and souls that compell us on our spiritual journeys. In my personal experience-opinion, I believe that our deceased ancestors are calling us to know of them and therefore I've decided that they are surely calling all of you to fulfill our journey. THANK YOU ❤

Leisa, where are your Farrars from? I have a collateral line of them in Gaston County, North Carolina.
Hello Pip, thank you for asking. I am from Louisiana and my immediate family connections that I was able to find led backwards to Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina and Virginia then England. Prior to my results in Wikitree, I discovered Farrars in Canada as well. Turns out there are a great many Farrars. And many in Louisiana from the same town as my granddad, that I am surely related to, and never had a reason to know them because my granddad and brothers moved to another parish of Louisiana. Anyway, these are my direct ancestor names, though they each had many brothers, sisters, and cousins: Rass ,my granddad 1904, his dad James Walter M.1876 and wife Josephine, his dad Robert Francis and wife Maneta, then Henry Lansford Jr 1816,in Alabama and wife Salley. Then H.L Sr. in Alabama,  then Stephen David Jr. 1797 in So. Carolina and Catherine,  then S.D. Sr. in Georgia in 1756. Then Richard in 1727 in Virginia,  then William the 4th 1682 and Sarah, all 5 generations of William were from Virginia with the 1st William born in England but records have stopped there, so far. I followed his wife Cecely to 1600 England, but no other details.

I apologize for listing them all... but my main names would possibly link us through the many cousins. My first Farrars in Louisiana are from Union Parish. And came from Mississippi firstly. Hope this provides an easy link. But I'm sure we're cousins somewhere  Very cool to meet you, Pip. Love your name. I am 62, by the way, and my given name is Nan.

Yep, your Virginia Farrars are the ancestors of my uncle-by-marriage, Charles Alexander Farrar.

Thank you Pip. Every name helps in getting further backwards to England. I am 16% English and the rest I am Scot and Scandinavian. I've been able to trace back an amazing 30+ generations on my Weems surname, to the 5th century, because they were all royals and records were kept . So finding my English Farrars has been much more difficult and I'm very happy for every connection. Thanks again!
