help with this profile Eichbaum-28

Ludwig Ernst Eichbaum, legally changed his name to Leslie Ernest Everrett I am not sure how to accurately reflect that in his name, at the start of the profile at the moment it just looks messy. And this profile is a work in progress.  And how do i add this category to this profile  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:HMT_Dunera%2C_Arrived_6_Sep_1940

You could experiment with the display by placing both his German forenames in the "first name" field, then the Leslie in the preferred name field, and the Ernest in the middle name field. Or the Ludwig Ernst in the "first name"  field and the "Leslie Ernest" in the preferred name field.

Another option is to put the Ludwig Ernst in the "first name" field, the Leslie in the preferred name, and mention the change to "Leslie Ernest" in the biography (leaving the middle name blank, as it should probably be for a German).

I greatly fear that, no matter which you decide, it will probably look a  tad "clunky" with all the names.

It might also help if you add the Germany tag, as those Wikitreers who are German (or better versed in German naming than am I) would be better able to advise.

Thanks will try that, he wanted to change his name to a more English name, after WW2, but wanted to keep his original initials L. E. E. and choose this name out of a phone book. I did what you suggested put both of his original names in the first name section it looks a little less chunky

I have a profile still in the building stage, and my guy (Prussian-born) did a radical name change, too - twice.
