Have been trying to make a connection to my Great x3 Grandfather Martin Murphy 1827-1899.  He was married to Catherine McPherson in the US but  he was also married in Ireland.  The story goes that he got drunk in a Dublin pub and knocked out then shipped to the US as slave labor.
