Advice before editing this pre-1700 Johns profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Lurvinah (Johns) Polk. This is what I can add:

• not changing anything, just matching my Johns ancestor to this one.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

What do you mean by matching?

If you have created a duplicate you need to propose a merge. Scroll down to the bottom of the profile and follow the prompts for the merge.

If you have a profile that you believe connects to this profile then you can make the connection, but you need to have sources that prove it.

I cannot see a duplicate profile.  If you have information to add that is sourced then you should discuss this with the profile manager, click Jerry's name and leave a comment on his profile or leave a comment on Lurvinah's profile page for Jerry or sent a private message.

The profile is open so you could added and then message Jerry to discuss or additions and connections
