Good edit, Stephen F-R. Now, descendants of Gov. Whiteaker (1st Gov of Oregon) we can deal with, excluding any that are now living 

There's already a profile on him at WikiTree, John Whiteaker (1820-1902) | WikiTree FREE Family Tree which lists some or all of his children 

and a Wikipedia John Whiteaker - Wikipedia

His profile lists five children, all are White Padlock meaning you could research for spouses and children and attach those to the appropriate child of John and Nancy -- you would be the PM on those profiles

Thank you again. The third child was married to David Jarvis. His obituary in the Eugene Morning Register mentions two children. They would be grandchildren of John Whiteaker. Progress thanks to your help!
