need help with altering my gedcom, can I just uplaod a new one?

I just found that both of my grandfathers on the birth certificates were not the sperm-donors to both of my parents.  These men are still part of the tree as they were married to the grandma's and may have fathered others in the family.  The paternal one traces to a stillbirth buried in Pocatello and the maternal one may be my aunts father.

Do I just upload a new gedcom?  The surnames involved are: Little > changes to Williams and Stewart > changes to Morrison.  These men have been dead for over 5 decades.

If by "gedcom" you mean the file you downloaded from your genealogy app, then yes, you can upload a new one.

But, if you mean the profiles you've already imported into WikiTree, then no -- importing a new one will not replace what you've already imported. Instead it will merge them together (and you'll have to process each name in the list all over again.

In addition, I do not thing importing a new one will correct any relationships.

I believe you'll have to modify the relationships manually yourself.

I found the gedcom area and it said I haven't uploaded a gedcom.  So I tried and then it complained about my gedcom being too large

yeah, there's a size limit -- no more than 5000 I think.

Much better idea to have a small gedcom to 'try it out', learn the process, before trying a larger file.  You will have to compare each file in your gedcom before actually importing any of them.

I'm recalling that back when I started this wikitree I had tried to upload a massively much smaller gedcom, it wouldn't upload then either.  So I suspect that feature is broken too.  Look, I manage the whole family genealogy/history for a large family, I bought, paid for and manage all the DNA kits so we could find our cousins and this wikitree makes it impossible to deploy even a fraction of what I have discovered.  I am quickly developing a bad taste for working with this wikitree.  I'm not having any issue with the people, they're great.  It is the interface, and inability to edit family members takes far more effort than any other tree enterprise I have worked on in the past and it is still the same data.  I been at this all day and essentially got nothing accomplished.
