How do I make this profile part of my tree instead of adding an additional profile?

Let's say -- for example -- that Elizabeth Houston (Gibson-3727) is your great-great grandmother.

If that's true, then you would edit your great grandmother Mary Alice, click the "add mother" link, and put "Gibson-3727" in the WikiTree ID box (step A.) and click the "Go" button.

The steps are the same if the relationship is different from my example.

add Gibson-3727 where you need to in your tree. There is no profile manager, so you could adopt if you wanted to.

I made some connections with her spouse and tied several children to these parents but a number of children need to be added and their spouses. Lots to do here. But Dennis has outlined procedures quite nicely.
