I'm not a total beginner to researching my family tree but I know I have got a very long way to go yet before I'm an expert! So far I have a subscription to Ancestry and a developing tree but some time in the future I will stop this and I would like to place my growing tree on a free and shareable site.
I have been researching my mother's family, Rainbow (mainly Warwickshire, UK) and have just started my father's family (Leicestershire, UK) most recently) which is turning out to be more difficult. They are Moore Coltman and I have found "Moore " shown as a middle name, the two names hyphenated and the two name reversed or one or the other omitted entirely, as has happened with my immediate family. Family legend has it that a Miss Moore came from Ireland and rescued the family's fortunes but in doing so had her name joined with their's forever.
Once I'm on top of these names, I will continue with my married name Storey.
