Did you use uppercase i's III for the suffix, or the pipe aka vertical bar ||| ?
Neither. It's a Unicode Roman Numeral 3.

You used Unicode Ⅲ as a single character. https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+2162

You probably pasted it from word or some other program. You should use 3 capital i for that. Although it looks the same, it isn't and most programs can't find it when you search for iii.

I corrected the profile for you. Here is the changelog.

I think its the period.

The fullstop aka period is in the middle name field, not the suffix field.
yep... I completely misread... was looking at the father by mistake. Somehow completely missed seeing the profile name itself.

its the vertical pipes.
It's not vertical pipes. It's a Unicode Roman Numeral.

When I use wikitree +, searching for Capital letter III with Suggestion 761, it does not show that profile.  You have marked it as a False Suggestion, but what you have in there is not a normal capital I.

I see plenty of other profiles that have the III.  Look at Gilbert-8 that has the III in the suffix, which has no Suggestion, but it looks different than your profile Suffix Field

Edit - looking at the message in Edit mode, the capital letter for I looks different than it does when you are viewing it.  In Edit mode, it doesn't have the bars on the top and bottom, but when viewed, it does.

Best idea is to remove everything from the suffix field, go to another field, then go back to suffix and use your capital letter I for the suffix field.

They are pipes.
Linda, how are you getting into Edit mode? The profile is orange locked.
Not pipes. Unicode Roman Numeral 3. Should be allowed.
Looks like pipes.  Non standard characters will cause DBEs.
Dennis.  Just editing and viewing on g2g switches it.
But it's not a separator.
It is not a recognized letter in the field.  Normally, suggestion is because of having a separator of some sort in that field, ie comma, period, parenthesis, etc.  Ales may answer when he is available with the technical aspect of what he is looking for, but I think it is only supposed to be regular letters.

Maybe he should be picking up those items in the Suggestion '765 Wrong character in suffix'
Or better yet, being a bit more flexible in what is allowed. Doesn't really make sense to me that they are checking for valid characters in this field to begin with.
They don't allow numbers, special characters, etc in that field.  It isn't a free form field. Most of the 'boxes' in the top part are not free form text fields.
