Advice before editing this pre-1700 Gordon profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Elizabeth Gordon. This is what I can add:

  • CLN, location, text for bio (is this not needed??)

These are the sources I am using:

  • other parts of the profile itself

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

''These are the sources I am using'' just brings one to a help page on sources, but does not actually indicate any source you would be using?

The profile manager is also active, so you may want to communicate directly with him about sourced additions to the profile.

I was the PM - I just orphaned the profile. In general you can just make changes for pre-1700 EuroAristo profiles w/o asking first.

However, style-wise her CLN is problably best set as Gordon. The Scotland Nobility sub-project has some style tips here, incl a description of how to deal with married women : https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Scottish_Nobility_Naming_Standards

In general, pre-1700 married Scots women kept their last name. I hope that helps!
