Hi. I have been researching family history on and off since the mid 1970s, when you had pencil and paper and access to parish church records at churches. Now with indexing and the internet things are so much easier and with so many people now addicted like myself to family history we can dig deeper into our families past.
I don`t just research names, I find out as much as I can about each individual. I believe they are a part of me and I am a part of them.
I`m lucky that most of my own direct family( Gardner, Betts, Coleman, Giles ) have always lived locally so I can visit the places they lived in. Then I`m off virtually to Scotland ( Gunn & Houston families). Ireland ( McAssey & Driscoll). And non direct families in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA,
I have access to My Heritage, Find my Past, and Ancestry via Family Search ( The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)..I also have use of ,Tribal pages to store my information once it is verified so much better than index cards.
I am very happy to help anyone and thank you for letting me join.
