Profile Errors fixed by Fixing One Error

+2 votes

Elizabeth Meriwether's Profile has 11 Data Doctor's Suggestions.

The primary primary problem is Error 103: Death before Birth.  I have not studied in detail if fixing this error would fix all the other ten, but it might.

As a Data Doctor I am reluctant to change profile Dates even with evidence of the date in the biography, when there is an active PM. (I have read the negative comments we, DD's, get and don't want to be responsible for such a comment.)

As you will see, I have added research notes, added a public comment and sent a private message to the PM's.

My question is, if the 103 is fixed, will the other 10 disapear form the report the following week or do I need to mark them "False"?  In scrolling down the list, all the 310's (Died before child born) and the 406 (Marriage after death) would not exsist.

p.s. This may have been answered before, but the words I used in searching didn't find it.

Select all the other suggestion checkboxes, apply the same comment to them all that you took the steps to let the PM know. They can't go away until corrected, but yeah, the others should go away if that's the cause

Don't make them as False because they are valid.  That should only be used when there is a discrepancy that can't be cleared up, such as between Find a Grave and wikitree which has sources with a different date and Find A Grave won't change them.

If you didn't add a comment to the 103 Suggestion, you should add a comment to the Suggestion stating message sent to PM and Research Notes added, selecting all of the other suggestions that it will fix at the same time, as Jonathan said.  Just make sure you don't select a suggestion that it wouldn't fix.
I marked all of them 'Unchanged' with comment 'a message sent to PM'
