That makes sense, i think, because that collection only goes up to 1960, i think, and you have seen him getting on a boat and going back across the pond in 1958...

I see that his mother's address in Belfast is included in his Military records

It's a big scanned file - give it a minute to load

Includes a physical description: blue eyes, hair turning grey

Definitely confirms the three children.  The youngest only 1 week old when he was called up.  

He saw action in France....

sent an message via Ancestry to someone who had soldier in their family tree, response 

Yeah it's my brother's gf's family, I sent the article to her and her dad is on his way to pick up the bible now
