During my extensive research into Jane Prather Smith, I discovered many properties in Prince George's County, Maryland during the late 1600s with names involving spelling variations of Brookewood. After analyzing them, I determined that John Smith and his wife Jane (widow of Jonathan Prather) lived at Brooke Wood, not Brookewood as has been commonly referenced by earlier researchers. I've created a document that explains this.
