Were you using the native interface, or some other way?
I'm not sure what you mean Melanie?

I was using wikitreeX to transfer the profile from Find A Grave to the parent profile (I have always done it this way) and I use the Chrome browser.
By "native interface" I mean just the browser, no extras/plugins.

I have — recently — seen other people posting similar supposed password problems when using wikitreeX, so I think THAT is your culprit, not your password needing validation.

Oh ok Thanks Melanie. I suppose wikitreeX has a bug. Will stop using it and do profiles by hand..sad

Before you stop using it, perhaps check this thread and see if anything posted there offers you a solution.  (I think there is at least one answer that seems hopeful.)

Sorry it took so long but my internet was/is playing up.

I cleared cache, that didn't work. I rebooted comp, didn't work. Not sure of what to try next. Will let you know if/when something works.
(Edit)  Forgot, I logged out of wikitree and logged back in,didn't work.
Your help is greatly appreciated Melanie.

Thanks

If there is a tag for wikitreeX, add it to your question - and maybe move the question to whatever the tech area is?

.

Edit -- there is, also one for apps wikitreex wt_apps

See if adding those and moving gets you better help than I am able to give.

WikiTree X has been updated and it should be working again.

This question can be answered in WikiTree Tech.

"If you were using WikiTree X, it’s a bug. But whether or not it happens to you depends on what version of the Chrome browser you have."
