New member introducing myself

Question

Hi I'm Cathy.  I did my dna test last year and found out my father was not my father.  I think I have spent every day since working on my genealogy! My mother has been doing this for over 20 years but now there are new lines :)

I am stuck at finding information on my 6th great grandfather MacLeod/McLeod.  My 5th is Neil McLeod (b 1750) and have found plenty of information on him as he was the first of the line to come to America.  But finding sourced information about his father/mother or any further ancestor.  The Clan McLeod USA society gives one person as his father.

I am loving this crazy journey

There was a Neil McLeod who was christened 18 Feb 1750 at Golspie, Sutherland, Scotland.

His father is William McLeod
