Early Coleshill, Warwickshire

+13 votes
I have just acquired a book of early records of Coleshill, Warwickshire, England (from about 1120 to 1549). There are many hundreds of names, of all ranks in society. The more prominent include members of the (de) Clinton and Digby families. If anyone is working on someone of this period in this part of Warwickshire, and would like me to see if there is information in the book, let me know.

My oldest documented relative is Stafford-384 from Warwickshire, the line stops there. What can you tell me about Warwickshire?

Hi Timothy. As I indicated, the book stops at 1549 and the Stafford you are interested has an estimated birth date of after 1600. The only Staffords mentioned in the book are the Earls of Stafford, plus a Humphrey Stafford who witnessed a document in 1549 and may have been from a family of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire: there is no further information about him. Sorry not to be of more help.
