Proposed: Remove Thomas Christian as son of William "Illiam Dhône" Christian

It is proposed that Thomas Christian (1636-1704) is not the son of William "Illiam Dhône" Christian, Isle of Man, and should be removed.

  1. No birth record has been found for Thomas, son of William, in or around 1636 in Onchan, Isle of Man. In 1636, William Christian was actually living in Lancashire, England, not Isle of Man. No birth record has been found for Thomas, son of William in Lancashire in or before 1636. In 1637 William Christian moved to Ronaldsway, Malew, Isle of Man.
  2. The Thomas Christian (1647-1700) described as son of William Christian on his profile page, was born between 1641-1647 at Ronaldsway, Malew, Isle of Man, and died in 1700, buried 16 June 1700 at Malew, Isle of Man. He never emigrated to Virginia. For more information on Thomas Christian (1647-1700), son of William Christian, and his descendants see The Manx Note Book, edited by A. W. Moore.
  3. The death date of 16 June 1700, at Charles City County, Virginia, is used by almost all online family trees, especially on This date is the actual burial date of Thomas Christian (1647-1700) in Point #2. Based on land records, etc., in Virginia, Thomas Christian (1636-1704) lived until at least 1704.
  4. No well-sourced or published family tree for the Christian family (other than online trees) includes this Thomas Christian (1636-1704) as son of William "Illiam Dhône" Christian.
