William Perkins Lineage

Question

I don't really understand how this tree works and that means I do not know which category to choose above. But, I want to say that William Perkins 1607-1682 had two sons named William. William born and died in 1639, William born 1641 married Elizabeth Clarke October 24, 1669 Topsfield. They had a son John 1675-1711 who married Anna Huchason. I would like to see these John linked with his father William. Someone with more experience with this tree should do this.

Hi Georgine,

Can you share your sources?  It looks like currently John who married Anne Hutchison is attached as a son of the father William (one generation up from what you're proposing).

Just glancing at it, the marriage date does look to be a little late for John son of William¹.  But before suggesting any changes we'd want to be sure.
