Adding to Wikipedia Tree from Gedcom

Having checked every one of the 1027 people in my Gedcom and marked them as completed, how do I go about adding to the Wikipedia Tree? No Add button has appeared.

I wish I had found this before adding my Gedcom

I just spent 3-4 days  checking on the Gedcompare  to find now I have to add people individually anyway

What a waste  of time

If you already discounted any matches  why repeat the process  when you try to ADD people

Too bad

Hi Adrian!  Thank you for joining our one world family WikiTree!

I looked at the GedCom instructions in the Help menu.  It said,

  • Add buttons don't appear on the main table until all suggested matches in your GEDCOM have been confirmed or rejected. This could be a pain in the butt if there are a lot of suggestions but we believe it's important for preventing the creation of duplicate profiles that would later need to be merged.
  • Add buttons don't appear on comparison pop-ups until all suggested matches for all of the starting person's nuclear family members have been confirmed or rejected.
So, maybe there is a confirmed or rejected that you missed?

OK, Having rejected 807 suggestions and accepting 13, there was one I'd missed and the add buttons have now appeared.  I'll start the next step.  It's certainly laborious.
Yep.  That is why most of us just enter it manually.
Having spent fifteen years researching my family tree and my wife's family tree very thoroughly, there is no way that I would have manually added all the data from my 1027 people.  Even actually adding the people from the Gedcom, with the data included, to the tree will take many days. I certainly won't be the adding the 3000+ people from my wife's tree.  I haven't got that much time in life.
Usually, you will find people already in wikitree and you don't have to add everyone that you have in a family tree, which is why the comparison is now required.
Linda, There were just 13 matches out of 1027 people in my family tree.
Sometimes records don't match because birthdates or locations are not the same but the parents and spouse and other information are the same when you search by name.  Before the comparison process was added, people would just add a gedcom, causing lots of duplicates, so the comparison is done to try to limit duplicates being created.

Hopefully you have good sources being added with the profiles. Good luck with your next phase.
