Merge Won't Merge [closed]

Question

In response to a G2G question, I attempted the pre-1500 merge of De Mulys-1 into Mulys-1, which received default approval. But when I click "Confirm Merge" it takes me back to the merge form.

What wrong?

I just looked and didn't try to complete the merge, since there are two different fathers that need to get sorted out before the merge can proceed.

Fathers are sorted. James is the father, John the brother.  It's in the merged bio, if it would only merge and save. Source is there.  It's ready to save.

The one that is not the father needs to be removed as father then. When I bring up the compare screen for the profiles, it shows two different fathers, that need to either merge or disconnect one of them

OK, I did that. Still won't merge.  "Invalid edit token"

And now all the data has to be re-entered, which I am getting kind of sick of doing, having never yet been thanked for my work on these profiles.

So I have re-entered all the data, with the same result - the merge won't save.

This is either extreme user obtuseness or a bug.

There is no error message or anything about the merge already in process by another user.  There is a message about double-checking to make sure the LNAB is right (it is, according to the source) but no obvious way to tell the system: Yes, I double-checked.

I'm going to let it go.
