I can add a father to the profile of Webley Sisson West (West-19551).This is who I can add: Joseph West. I am estimating the birth date at 1667 based on marriage and his son's birth date. The death date is estimated at 1715 based on Joseph's probated will on 23 February 1714-15.

I can also add a mother, Mary Webley. I am estimating her birthdate as 1770 based on the marriage and her son's birth date. I have no estimated death date.

I can also add Robert West as grandfather to Webley West. i would estimate his birthdate at about 1740 based on his son Joseph's estimated birth date. I can not add a wife to Robert as i currently have no information thereto.

These are the sources I am using:

  • Annals of the Sinnott, Rogers, Coffin, Corlies, Reeves, Bodine and allied families [database on-line]. Provo, UT: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2005. Original data:Sinnott, Mary Elizabeth,. Annals of the Sinnott, Rogers, Coffin, Corlies, Reeves, Bodine and allied families. 1905. https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/14336/images/dvm_GenMono000501-00156-1?pId=250 retrieved 16 August 2020.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

This looks good, Stew. Since the book is a secondary source, I would write the citation along the lines of 'Annals of the Sinnott, Rogers, Coffin, Corlies, Reeves, Bodine and allied families' citing New Jersey Archives, xxi. 107.  Looks like the book will also help you with additional upstream generations.

Stew, since you are already on ancestry.com, the New Jersey Archives Vol. XXI, p. 107, cited in your book can be found at https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/2175/images/32669_236576-00126

Thank you!
Thanks for the star, Stew.
