Trying to make a connection to England
+2

I have been stumped in trying to make a strong connection to England. The last relative I've found was Peter Bray, married to a Martha Ann Scott. He was born ~1718 in England. He died in 1810 at Rowan, Surry, North Carolina, United States.

Hi Vernie! It is indeed hard to make the connections on the other side of the pond. Have you done anything with your DNA? That can help confirm or deny possible paper trails.
Cheers

You need to look at areas where the surname was common if you don't know anything specific.

There are nearly 2000 trees on ancestry with Peter Bray 1718 father John mother Mary Wilson but none have any birth records or marriage records.
