Cliff's Notes version:
She was married to a man named Van Prinz. They sailed to the New World from Holland with other Dutch settlers. Their ship crashed and everyone waded ashore. Everyone except for Penelope and her husband went on to the colony, he was too sick so they remained.
They were happened upon by some hostile Native Americans who proceeded to chop them up. He was killed and she was cut open in the abdomen, her arm hacked, and her head gashed open. They left her for dead but she survived.
She was in a lot of pain and dragged herself to an old hollowed log and waited there to die. Some friendly Natives came upon her and took her home where they nursed her wounds and she recovered. They brought her back to the New Holland settlement.
She was married to John Stout and they eventually settled in Coney Island and had many children. She lived to the age of 110 and at the time of her passing she had 502 direct descendants.
