Could someone change [Unknown-344963] name to SAYLES?

Question

I have information to contribute to the profile of Mary (Unknown) Sayles. This is what I can add:

• Mary Sayles [Unknown-344963] is my 7th Great Grandmother.  This I recently discovered through my recent research with various of my DNA matches of living individuals surnamed SAYLES.  She is the daughter of John SAYLES.  I cannot make the chance because it will not allow me to do so.

These are the sources I am using:

• Ancestry.com.  U.S., Find A Grave Index, 1600s-Current [database online], Provo, UT, USAL  Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2012.  Original Data:  Find A Grave.  http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi.
• I have various other sources (other than family trees) from Ancestry that I plan to add at a later date.  

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

This change can be made by the Profile Manager or someone on the trusted list...have you asked for that?

Enrique, I see that you have been busy adding parents and editing dates and names on this profile, and you identified Rhode Island, Vital Extracts, 1636-1899 (presumably referring to a database entry in Ancestry.com) and FindaGrave as places where you got information, but you have neglected the single most important thing you need to do in order to make the requested change. That is, you need to use the text section of the profile to document the evidence you have about this woman and why you are convinced that her birth name was Sayles. For example, assuming you have consulted the Vital Record of Rhode Island (not just an Ancestry index database), what have you found about her in the Vital Record of Rhode Island (indicate what each relevant record says) and where did you find it (it is a multi-volume work, so we need volume numbers and pages).

On further investigation, I have found that the profile you commented on is a duplicate of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sayles-6 . I proposed a merge, and I am going to complete the merge now (as Project Manager) in order to resolve the issue.
