Thank you, Betty... I have a lot of detail on Isaac's life and descendants, including a copy of his own family Bible record. I'm looking for his parents.  I have a few candidates, but nothing conclusive.  In 1855 and 1865 NY census, he says he was b. in Chenango County.  Isaac m. 3 times, and had six children, all by his first wife, Sally Jacoby who d. 1848.  I have records on all but the last child, Marietta, who may have married a ZIMMER, and may have lived in Rochester, NY.
Bradford
This census includes Jacob Jacoby (Sally's father). It also includes a Thomas Lake aged 28 Teamster born in New York. Could that be a brother of Isaac?
That is all the info I could find. Hope it helps.
Thank you to the several people who responded so quickly to my post on Isaac J. Lake.  Just so y'all know, I'm the one who wrote the biography for him on Find a Grave. For some reason, I'd never looked at the 1880 census for him, and was pleased with that post because he claimed his father was born in England and his mother in Connecticut.  That could narrow the search at least a little.  Thanks again for the interest and the suggestions.
