Are you sure she married?  She had at least one child while unmarried.

Do you have any idea of spouse’s name?

Have you tried familysearch.org a free site?

Yes, I have tried FamilySearh.org but have found nothing yet.  I know she had a child while unmarried; he was my husband's grandfather.  He left England when he was 11 years old and had no contact with his mother after that.  I have her down as married to an Edward Richard Knight;  in July 1891.  One of my husband's cousins has another husband and another date and children.  How can we tell which one is right?  I would be willing to pay for a marriage certificate if I knew where to send away for it?

Thank you,

Catherine Climpson
The GRO would be the place to apply for the certificate.  The volume number is 1a and the page number is 1100.  September Quarter 1891.  Her name in the index is not the name she was registered with at birth - which was Emma.

Emily Lluehellen Climpson is listed in the same batch as Edward Richard Knight and Thomas Wiseman.
