I was sourcing 'Nevada Unsourced' when I came across a death certificate signed by Dr. William B Ririe in Ely, Nevada.

Dr Ririe was the doctor for Ruth, McGill, and Ely when I was a kid in Ruth.  He sewed my palm after I fell on a piece of glass.

Anyway, I would like to read his obit which is behind Newspapers.com paywall.

Lauren, you are a most excellent researcher!  Doc Ririe delivered me and my two sisters at Steptoe Valley Hospital.
Well, you had me curious to find him for you.  Someone had already clipped the obit, so it was easy to share.  Glad you have fond memories of him.  Best wishes.  :-)
Great job Lauren!
Very kind of you SJ, thank you.  :-)

Thanks again Lauren, I've found his parents from info in the obit.  Mother's LNAB: Bee.  They were missionaries with the China Inland Mission.

Find a Grave, database and images (accessed 20 August 2020), memorial page for Benjamin Ririe (12 Nov 1859–16 Dec 1961), {{FindAGrave | 62429669}}, citing Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada ; Maintained by Islington (contributor 47351667) .

Detailed obits are so helpful.  Looks like he had an interesting and fulfilling life, it's very nice that you are honoring him, Jo.  :-)

Here it is:

It looks like it isn't his obit but rather the obit for Mrs. Lavin who died at the hospital named for the doctor.

Palma Mry Zerga Lavin

Ely - Palma Mary Zerga Lavin, 82, died Jan 17, 1995, at William Bee Ririe Hospital, East Ely...

ahh, I was so confused, the text listed Doc Ririe as part of the family, no the clinic named after him.  He didn't live in Cherry Creek,

His draft card has born in Kiating, West China.  He may have been the son of missionaries.  He traveled to Toronto, then Chicago, and eventually, Nevada.  He had a brother, Harold, and a sister, Mary.

Sorry frown

I'm on a mission to source all "Unsourced, Nevada" profiles.  It took 3 days.  Can't wait for the new report!
