How did I "add a comment" when I didn't add a comment?

Help, please!

I was checking my Nav page and saw I'd "made a comment" on Sarah (Wade) Calvin.

I don't find the referenced comment and I don't believe I made one - - at least I don't remember it.  My memory is aging like all of me but I'm not yet that far gone.  Plus I'm not familiar with this profile (though I do have a Sarah Ann Wade-3133 in my grandfather's tree.)

ANY help would be MUCH appreciated!

Isn't it the middle of the night in America?

Can't be coincidence that Sarah Wade-992 has only just been fixed after being her own mother for 3 years, according to the change log.

But:

-- the detachment of the parent was done almost an hour earlier, AND

-- it was done by someone else.

I concur: this is VERY odd.
I have upon occasion had notices on my contribution page crediting me with actions I have not taken. I have chalked it up to other things. But I would say it's happened at least half a dozen times. I don't remember which actions.
Thank you, guys.  I'm just happy to know I wasn't having "issues" with memory ! ! !  But, I would like an explanation if one is figured out.  Just for my own mental happiness :;-).
That is very odd. I wish I had an explanation.

The next time someone notices an action that they didn't take being attributed to them, we should try to track it down and see if there is a pattern. There's so little to go on with just this one example. :-|
By the way, Elizabeth, I notice that the bogus comment is the only edit attributed to you on 11/16. http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&who=Blevins-707

Do you remember, where you doing anything at the time that you noticed this? That is, is it possible you were adding a comment or taking some action that got connected to the wrong profile?
Chris -

I'd been working on Hebert family profiles a bit before but I can't honestly recall what I did "just" before I saw the info re: having made "a" comment.  Sorry on that.

But PLEASE LOOK at the question from Rosemary Jones (Tissott-1) from today on profile updates.  It is of a similar nature as mine from yesterday.
I had also something odd happen to me  yesterday (sunday) but it was about the time that several were having issues with their email & log-ins and I thought maybe that had also caused my probelm (??) . Without intending to initiate a merge, suddenly one was created but using only one profile ID for both sides. What was I doing at the time? Adding a new profile, then discovered a match which I accepted. This happened to three siblings and two of them ended up with "Rejected Matches" because they were set to merge into it's own ID number. I sent a message to G2G but as I said, it was at the same time as the log-in problems and I guess no one noticed.
Chris, it occurred to me last night that the profiles that this issue happen with were orphans. And at the time I thought that may have had something to do with it. I also surf alot of profiles and I thought at the time that I may have been the last person to view the profile.
Thanks, everyone.

I'm inclined to chalk some of this up to the glitch we had, that Marie mentions. (We were doing hardware upgrades and weren't careful enough.)
