Why do my Y-DNA details not show up on my profile page

I entered  details for my new FTDNA Y-111 test to go on my profile page yesterday https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&u=19878064 , however, these are not showing up on my profile page yet alongside my autosomal details which were configured OK some time ago.

Does it take over 24 hours to go on the profile or have I not got something right?

Hi Alistair,

Looks like you've entered it fine, but it also indicates "Last edit on Aug 22, 2020." which is today (at least for me - some parts of the site use local dates/time zones and other parts use GMT). My understanding is that the propagation process is run once a day, though I'm not sure if it always happens at the same time. I'd give it another day, and if it's still not propagated to your profile and your Y-DNA relatives, then post back here.

Thanks Rick, I'm in New Zealand and entered the details around 18 hours ago so I will wait  - no worries, thanks very much for your help.

From https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:How_to_Get_Started_with_DNA :

"Within 24 hours of entering which test you have taken an indicator will appear in the right column of all your ancestors' and relatives' profiles where your test may be useful for confirming relationships."

However, some G2G posts indicate 24-48 hours for the DNA test info propagation period.

Thanks Mike, good to know I should wait rather than did anything wrong configuring the details.  I appreciate the link to learning how to use the results to find other profiles too!!

To the question of whether a profile (or updates to a profile) takes exactly 24 hours to be propagated through the system, I usually find that 30 to 36 hours is a more accurate number.

It depends on what time of the day you entered and saved the details, what time zone you are in, when the next update starts and when it ends.

If you happen to be actually entering or saving the profile right when one update is happening, then you wont see your profile be updated for at least 30 to 36 hours - 24 to 30 hours for the next update to start and then a few hours for it to run..

This is of course all from my own observations.

Thanks Robyn, my results are displayed now and in about 20 hours too.
