John Abiathar Barrett was born about Feb’ 1843 in New York. He was the son of David and Lenora (Allen) Barrett. He acquired a great deal of prominence and property in Bombay, New York and was a farmer many years. John married a Margaret Hogan and per 1900 census was married 34 years. He was ill at end of life as he had Consumption aka “Tuberculosis” and went to Pine Bluff, South Carolina due time his health.

I need help adding his death location as it doesn’t appear in the drop down menu of options for death? Any help in collaborating on this New York family is appreciated.

Note: possibly a civil war veteran however not much evidence supporting this

Also 3 daughters died young in 1880

Thank you wikitree family

The dropdown menu doesn’t have all the places, so it is perfectly acceptable to add other real places

Very possible he was in civil war will need further research to connect him with a pension
