Ellen Eglin, African-American notable - are these sources correct?

Question

Little is known about notable Ellen Eglin. All the tertiary sources seem to agree on not much being known abut her, and they all (including Wikipedia) provide an unsourced birth of 1849 District of Columbia. I may have found her, born in 1836 in Maryland. The directory and census information all seems to match up. Some tertiary sources indicate she also worked in the census office, which matches the 1894 directory, and she lived at the same address in the census. I think this all matches up to be her, but since the birth year is 13 years off than that listed everywhere else, I would appreciate someone else looking at this.

Edited to clarify my question:

Are these sources good enough to say she was born in 1836 Maryland and died after 1915? And then update Wikipedia to match?

I found her niece Gussie in 1910, living with her brother, and mother (or at least her her brother's mother (edit to add: I think its his mother-in-law actually)).  I added it to her profile.

One comment first. You left off the year 1900 on one of the paragraphs (it's the one with citation #13). It just says In Ellen Eglin...

As far as the 1880 census that had her living in Massachusetts, I would investigate that family to see if they had any ties to Maryland. I would also look for another Ellen Eglin that lived in Massachusetts, conflicting when you know she was in Washington, DC. I think the Maryland-Massachusetts connection is weird, but not impossible.

Thanks for noticing the missing 1900 - now corrected.

I haven't found any other black Ellen Eglins born in Maryland/DC, born any time from 1833-1850. 

The sources on Timothy Nooning on Family Search https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/KJ58-C55 did not give any hint of Maryland (nor does https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=loc.ark:/13960/t0ms3sd67&view=1up&seq=209). It is the least solid part of what I have found -- I agree it is weird, especially with what I think is her in the 1880 DC directory. This bit of information should probably remain a research note, even if the rest is OK.
