Would someone look at the birth record for Anna Stina Persdotter born 22 Dec 1764 in Råneå and read the mother's name for me.  The link to Riksarkivet is here

The last name is Nilsdotter, but I can't make out the first name. Thanks in advance.

It looks like Carin to me too. Also, Anna’s second name at birth is Stina, not Christina.

I believe that Carin, as suggested by the geni.com profile at https://www.geni.com/people/Anna-Persdotter/6000000022049275452, is probably a good reading.

The first letter has an extra curlicue at the top, but the second is an old-fashioned "a", the third looks like the "r" in "Perßon", and the last two letters are clearly "in", with the dot of the "i" shifted a bit to be over the "r" because of the loop from the "h" in "hustru" above.

Thanks, I was kind of leaning that way, but I felt like I was making too many guesses about the various letters.
