Any suggestions on which surname? Is there an earlier primary document. If not it may come to the most used spelling. May consider a G2G question for full visibility before the merge takes place.

For comparison Thache-1 and Thach-9 prior to merge

Always thought his last name was cool until I saw that of his old captain — Hornigold

Is a profile for Blackbeard really worth the effort when there is no possibility of connecting him to anyone else?

My opinion would be to keep using "Thatch" as the LNAB and keep using "Teach" as the "Other Last Name(s)".

I only state this because it seems (to me) that, even though both last names are referenced, it appears that "Thatch" is more prevalent than "Teach" and others.

The following is a page (via an Ancestry sharable link) from an Oxford University Press in London, England.

The book is called "The Dictionary of National Biography" and, more specifically, it's from "Volume: 22 - Page: 1281" of that book.

It may not be a ton of information, but it does look like it's just as valuable.

Just a little helpful input/option that I hope helps you out in some way.

Good Luck! :-)

Thanks Brian, The source is worthy, I will add it in the profile after merge..Al
It was my pleasure! :-D

It was interesting to see what a quick Ancestry Search provided.

I was surprised to see some of the results found...

One was that it looks like he had 1 spouse and 1 child.

Anyways, this was very cool to help you out.

Once Al Adams approves the merge, I'll take action to complete the merge. Thanks Brian for the source, I'll check it out when complete the merge. I have conducted a lot or research and verified all the information for this profile.
Not a problem. I really do like that WikiTree profile. It looks like allot of time was spent on it. Kudos my friend! :-)

I've done allot of research myself for my my family tree via Ancestry and other sources. WikiTree probably reflects about 40% +/- of it as it does take time and I don't rush a good thing. LOL!

I added an additional Note on Thache-1 for keeping LNAB spelling Thache in Profile as AKA. Please read. I will merge when ready
