Do you have Kirklands in Australia?

It has been suggested that we might want to have an Australian Kirkland one-name study.  This would be a Team under the Kirkland One-Name Study.

If you have Kirkland family that lived in or immigrated to Australia and are interested in heading up a team, please let me know and I can help you (if you'd like) set up a space page and get the study going.

Meanwhile, if you have Kirklands in any other part of the world, feel free to join the name study (information is given on the space page).  And if you want to set up a specific study for a different part of the world, that can also be done.  At present, there are teams for the U.S Southern Colonies and Scotland.

I will check, but I think my Kirk* lot are Kirkbride not Kirklands, even though the Kirklands name seems awfully familiar.
I was about to say the same thing: "the Kirklands name seems awfully familiar."  There are one or two Kirklands in Australia listed in the Surname Index.
My search found 58 in Australia with a LNAB of Kirkland and one with Kirtland.

"Kirklands" was a bus service base in Lisore, NSW, so yes, there is a Kirklands family there. Neale Kirkland posts on FB.

Don't know if they'd be interested in Wikitree or not.
