England Project to take over management of English EuroAristo profiles

I am delighted to announce that the England Project and the European Aristocrats Project have agreed that English profiles currently under EuroAristo management are going to be transferred to the England Project.

This won't all happen at once, so you will see a mix of Project PMs for a while

The transfer process will begin with the 24 English / British monarchs starting with Henry VII onward.

If you ask a question in G2G about anyone who you think may be English aristocracy - please do still tag the question EuroAristo as well as England. The EuroAristo project members will then see it in their feed too.

We will continue the EuroAristo policy of asking people please not to leave comments about how you are related to  a particular King or Queen on that monarch's profile. These comments will be removed.

Instead why not use the Descendants sticker which you can add to your own profile?

Here is an example of the Descendants sticker completed for a descendant of Henry VII (other monarchs are available!).

{{Descendant|image=UK Flags-45.png|id=[[Tudor-18|Henry VII of England]] enter your relationship here}}

The image "UK Flags-45.png" is the crown of St Edward used at the coronation.

Any questions? Please ask them below.

In conjunction with this announcement, we need to announce that the British Royals and Aristocrats Project, which has been a sub-project of the European Aristocrats Project, will cease to exist.  This project has been responsible for overseeing profiles of persons from England, Scotland, and Wales.  However, Wikitree now has projects for all of these countries, and thus we can 'retire' the British Aristocrats project.

We have started the Medieval project  and it may oversee some pre-1500 profiles.  Please note that the focus of the new Medieval project, however, is not on royals, nobles, and aristocrats, but rather on profiles of all people that lived prior to 1500 A.D.

Hi, Darlene -- I take it that when we encounter a profile that can belong in the Wales Project, but is currently managed by British Royals, we can arrange for a change?
Thank you Darlene, John and the EuroAristo project for curating these English profiles up to now. We will take good care of them!
Hi Jack, yes, you can add the Wales project and delete the British Aristo.

That's great news Jo - so atm from 1485 onwards - i.e. Henry VII (Tudor) onwards. I had a general question about Timeline & profiles of such persons - To what extent may posthumous events connected to the person be included on their profile/Biography? Burials clearly & perhaps monuments (if erected shortly afterwards); but I have problems with (much later) exhumation +/or recent DNA analysis etc - imo they belong in somethjing like Research Notes or some other heading. It's not part of their life afterall. Do you have guidelines in place for such situations? - please point me in the right direction. Thanks, Jeremy
