I have a photo of him holding my mother in 1935. I have a family member, that was in the Royal Court of Franz-Joseph Hapsburg. Only know him as great-great-grandpa Rosenblum...need to find family

There was no Royal Court of anybody Hapsburg by 1935.

(Also, it's unclear to me: in "him holding my mother", who is "him"?)
It could also be a tourist photo in Vienna. But without seeing a tree or the photo itself it becomes really difficult.

James, as Marion says, start by adding all family members you know, add good sources and then others can step in and help. We are all volunteers that help each other, but we need to see the profiles and sources in order to be able to help.

You can always contact your greeter for more information.

edit: typo
Do you have a birthdate and place of origin? For Austria-Hungary the relevant records would be church books as they were the primary source also used in duplicate as civil records. And for Austria the availability of digitized church books online for free is excellent.

Hi James and welcome. The best way to proceed is to add family starting with parents, then grandparents and work your way up. You might find sources at familysearch.org (a free site).

Franz Josef I von Österreich from the Habsburg family died in 1916. The gentleman in the photo appears to be old enough (although it's hard to see in the thumnail) to have been at the court before that year. Since the court employed over 2,000 people that fact alone would not help much in finding out more about your ancestor.

Thank you...he was from the city of Buda...and was an actor. Incidently, he and his wife fled to America when he killed a man in duel. During a royal ball, a cad made an advance toward my beautiful great-great-grandmother.
