G2G: Advice before editing this pre-1700 Lyon profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Frederick Lyon. This is what I can add:

  • Name of wife, children, education, & occupation

These are the sources I am using:

  • Ancestry.com. The Lyons of Cossins and Wester Ogil : cadets of Glamis [database on-line]. Provo, UT: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2005.Original data: Ross, Andrew,. The Lyons of Cossins and Wester Ogil : cadets of Glamis. United States: Scotcopy, 19--?. (pg 66)

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

It is helpful, when possible, to provide a link to the source you are citing.  In this case, it is available here: https://archive.org/details/lyonsofcossinswe00ross  and the page # is 54.

Many people prefer a link to a site other than Ancestry, which requires a paid subscription.
