Can anyone tell if there is any relevance to the word "fencible" on a marriage register entry

Question

In the marriage of Samuel Mc Bride and Elizabeth Tyrer the word "fencible" is written after his name. Does this have any relevance in the marriage register? An image can be found here:

I know it has a military connotation but that does not seem to have any relevance here.
