Mary Jane Stewart's dates inconsistant between records

Working my way up my family tree, found Mary Jane (Stewart) Reid [Stewart-16671] b.1699 in Mass. d.1752 in Penn.  Yet the Contents listing "1.2 Children" of her father John Stewart Sr. [Stewart-3428] shows her born 1702 in North Carolina.  Is it simply wrong dates or possibly wrong ancestor(s)?

That sounds like a muddled profile.  It’s unlikely that someone from Massachusetts would marry someone in Pennsylvania and/or be born in North Catolina
