AncestryDNA culling is complete, it looks like

Is that what everyone else is seeing?

With regard to my shared matches with 6 - 7.9 cMs, I only have what i put in a group or tagged with a note.

I see that some distant cousins who shared their results with me no longer have any matches in that range.

So i guess it is over - no more chances to save those smaller cM matches.

Hi Shirlea,

Yes - that's what I've seen too. More related conversation here ... https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1075023/ancestrydna-matching-white-paper.
It was around 3 pm PDT yesterday that I noticed it . . .
Copy across to MyHeritage ?. Data I'm looking at goes down to at least 6.2 cM, but their Autoclusters algorithm seems to stop at 20 cM, which is a pity. Dont GEDmatch and GENi also do this. As is probably obvious, the small segment world is a mystery to me.
Yes my match list went from 56000 to 27500 . Would have been worse if I hadn't used the color tool to mark the ones that shared DNA with some of my stronger DNA matches .

Oh well like a coworker said to me once when the owner of the company wanted everybody to take less pay ...I guess they need it worst then we do ..

I looked today and don't remember my number from before so I can't tell from number change, but bottom group to chose is 6-20 cm.  could be they just forgot to change that.

I hope they leave it in -- i managed to save quite a few  smaller matches (for chromosome mapping) and i want to be able to sort straight to them....
If you look at your list of 6-7 cM matches, I expect they would all have some evidence that you took some action that would preserve them (e.g. starred or made a note).

I spoke to them on the last day of August and they said they had a large group of users who were adamantly opposed but they were going ahead anyway.  I do believe it was delayed a few hours from the scheduled midnight mountain standard time.

Of course, I did take the opportunity to suggest that the group opposing this were likely also the ones who want a chromosome browser.  This caused her to literally scream i frustration having to deal with all those folks with what I would consider a reasonable request.
