Hi, I am wanting to enter information re scotish people pre 1700, and have been told that I should check with this group to ensure that the person has not yet been entered. How do I do this? Regards, Penelope

Hi Penelope,

Would you like to provide some details and we can help you check for any possible profile before you create yours?

Name, parents, spouse, children, any dates and locations that you're sure of would help.

That statement is regarding the prevention in adding any possible duplicate profiles and asks that a search be performed first to possibly locate any said individuals beforehand.

The following WikiTree Help link should (hopefully) provide you with some guidance in performing this search.

I hope I had explained this okay via text... :-)

Good Luck!
