Messy gedcoms

I am not home at the moment and won't be back till the weekend so I am not currently in a position to come up with examples but I was looking at a wikitree generated gencom file in notepad because it threw up quite a lot of errors when I imported it into another website. I have also seen plenty of people here complain about gedcom files generated by ancestry and others talking about 'gedcom junk'. Well looking at this file it seems to have loads of stuff in it that is not to do with family trees so I was wondering if there is a program that can clean up gedcom files Before they get imported ?

One of the things I do with WikiTree generated gedcoms, is re-export them from my genealogy software before any editing, but exclude the WikiTree-specific fields that are imported, then import that gedcom back into a new data file. This helps, but much work remains.
