What are Hidden Marriages in WikiTree?

I'd need an example to provide a better answer, but marriages are hidden between living people, or where one spouse at least is living. Also, when entering a marriage, there is a checkbox to indicate that you'd like the marriage to be hidden. Normally, one would choose a marriage to be hidden because there is a divorce. Can you provide a link to what you mean?

I came across a "hidden marriage" that is only hidden because the duplicate wife is mistakenly listed as still living,

On the "Edit Marriage Information" page there is a box for "Do Not Display:". If you check this box, the marriage will not be shown on the profiles of the two people that were married. I assume this is what you mean by a "Hidden Marriage".
