I know that my grandfather, Joseph Claiborne Stewart was born in New Orleans, LA, in 1868. He had 5 children. His wife Vesuvius LeTulle left him with the children and moved to Texas. Never knew what happened to him. Have learned lately that he might have been buried in Houston, TX, but I do not know when or where. Anyone have any information?

His wife . . . left him with the children

-

Cultural language differences — is that she left him, and left the children with him . . . or she left him and took the children with her?

She took the children with her and moved to Texas.

Thank you for this information. With a date of death I may be able to find his burial site.
Hi O, I searched FamilySearch.org for both Louisiana and Texas estimating the deat date and did not find a source for the date or location of death.

Thank you for the information. How can I correct the names? The last name is LeTulle. That much I know. My grandmother was Vesuvius Janie LeTulle. She went by Suvie. When I knew her she was living in Bay City as housekeeper for Henry Everett LeTulle and Mortimer LeTulle, her brothers. But his does not get me any closer to Joseph Claiborne Stewart, her husband. Thank you anyway.
No it doesn't but gives you a  year range of when he died. 1910 he is LA and 1930 She is widow.  I found one  Josesph C Stewart. b LA 1868 in 1920 census in CA. No other
