I am descendant of the John Jacob Rector fmily from Rectortown VA. Bennett Rector was my great great great grandfather. Mark Rector was great great grandfather who moved from Melvine TN to Marion County TN in 1800s. Tyring to establish relatives anywhere but espescially Bledsoe and Rhea county TN

Hello Roger,   I have noted your post several times over the last six hours and decided to respond.  Using the tag "rector" I found (Jacob) Rector-48 and using the connection-finder found I am 13 degrees to him through my wife......then I looked back at your post and realized he is your ancestor with all his descendants listed.....and I just joined 2 1/2 months ago.

thanks for the response.  my ancestors came from Germany through Rectortown VA and settled all over the southeast area. I am still trying to track down where they all went.  My 3rd great grandfather was Bennett Rector (1767-1840) buried  Rhea Co TN.
