A Giem One Name Study Has Been Started

A new One Name Study has been started for the surname Giem. It seems that most Giems originated in Saxony-Anhalt, and I am trying to see if they have a common ancestor, but first I am building out the Giems in the United States, where most early Giems were in Ohio and Minnesota. If you are interested in the Giem family, please contact me about joining the project.

Could you provide a link to this new Name Study, please? It still doesn't appear in the ONS index.

Thanks, Nat. :)  I guess the reason I couldn't find it was because it doesn't have the ONS category on it yet.
We're only adding the ONS Cat to the name study cat, not the Space Page. It's redundant to have both. So, we categorize the space page to the specific name study category, then the specific name study category is categorized under [[Category:One Name Studies]].
The trouble with doing that is: the Name Study doesn't appear in the ONS Index.  You need to have the ONS category on the space page for it to work.  With Giem_Name_Study linked solely to the category page, it does not appear in the ONS Index.

Edited to add: So does that mean you are going to get rid of the ONS Index then?

I have to talk to Steve and he's busy all weekend. The categories can be the "index". And there is this:https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Giem

Sorry, I thought this had already been done.  When I saw your message and went back to do it, it was showing up on the list.
No, still not there.  Should be right at the foot of the space page.  Although this may all change, once Natalie has a chance to talk to Steve.

OK, there now. I didn't realize that you put categories on Project pages. Thanks.
Steve and I decided to change the way we did it, and maybe Ros didn't know this. As I said, I will discuss it with him after the weekend is over.
