Shared Photo: Peter Crombie Burns liberated POW

1st Battalion, The Royal Rifles of Canada, Rifleman Peter Crombie Burns was taken prisoner by the Japanese Army with the Battalion, on Christmas Day 1941 at Hong Kong.

Peter Crombie Burns was a prisoner of war at Shamshuipo , Kowloon, Hong Kong, when the camp was liberated on August 30 1945. 

He was a prisoner in 2 other camps Fort Stanley, Hong Kong and North Point, Hong Kong prior to Shamshuipo. Total time 1344 days

I wanted to share this photo of Peter Burns with some of his fellow prisoners. Location: Shamshuipo POW camp, Kowloon. Date: Sep 1945.
