downloading a gedcom

Yesterday, I decided to download a gedcom from Wikitree for each of my 8 great-grandparents.  I got thru 6 and then got a message that says "At most six GEDCOM Downloads may be processed per day.".  That was OK, so this morning (different day) I went in to finish the last 2.  But I still get the message.  Is based on a 24 hour period?  Or perhaps UTC?  The message should be changed to reflect the actual situation.

When you receive that message it is best to wait 24hrs before the next attempt because each failed attempt resets the wait time. sad

Why does the timer reset after a failed attempt that doesn't do anything?  I could have been attempting this for days before I give up, never understanding what was happening behind the scenes.  The message needs to be fixed to reflect this so people understand.  Fixing the timer so it only resets after an actual gedcom is created would be good also.
I don’t understand the workings, but have found this works for me.
