Hi I am very new to Wikitree.I am wondering if or how a document e.g marriage cert can be imported/added as a source

If the document is online, you can copy the URL as a source so others can link to it. Or you can copy an image of the document and add it to the biography.

What I do is use a snipping tool and save the docment as a jpg, then upload the jpg.  In a few cases, I'll integrate that photo/image into the biography.

Here's an an example with screen shots of patents (saved as JPG), uploaded then integrated into bio.

Hello and welcome,   I usually indicate it is privately held with my contact information,  add names and date of event, the number on the document and county, state etc.   If it is something I ordered,  I also add the cost and address where  a copy  of it can be obtained.  Be sure to add the exact spelling information as it is on the document even if it is incorrect because they would need it for ordering.   When you add it to the profile you can indicate the variations.
